TRAINING: I wake up and do a little meditation and yoga just to wake up and get myself ready for the day. After breakfast I'll run and lift. I try to take a nap after lunch. Then we do rope, mitts, drills, bag work, BJJ, every night. Sundays I jog light and then get in the ocean.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I was in great shape and wanted to test myself. I saw Chuck KO Tito and said. 'I want to do that!'
What ranks and titles have you held? Cage Combat Middleweight Champ, Tachi Palace Fights welterweight champ, David Terrell purple belt
Do you have any heroes? Dave Terrell, Nelson Mandela
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? Everything I've done in my life has led me to this moment. I'm honored to fight for my team, family, and everyone up in Nor-Cal.
What was your job before you started fighting? I worked in stream restoration, lift operation, construction, and odd jobs.
Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? Two-time Gracie Open champion
Specific accomplishments in pro competition? Winning the CCFC and TPF belts and defending the 707.
