Where do you train? Fight Pit, The Unity Gym, Spartans
What are your strengths as a fighter? The fact that you can’t really work me out because I don’t know what I’m doing, really.
Why do you think you’ve made it into The Smashes? Because I’m different, and everybody loves a freak.
How / why did you start training in MMA? My wife didn’t like me fighting with people on the streets. So I looked for another outlet and MMA seemed to fit.
How long have you been training in MMA? 5 years
Why do you love MMA? It’s inside me, I just love it. You don’t have to be the strongest or the fittest. There are so many options and so many possible outcomes. You’ve just got to be one step ahead all the time.
Why do you think you will be the next Ultimate Fighter? Because I’m the best by far.
Do you think the Australia / UK rivalry is going to affect the competition? England and Australia have a long history of rivalry but I don't think that's going to make too much difference in the competition because obviously we're all grown up men. We're all there to fight.
Do you have any heroes? David Bowie. I don’t really have MMA heroes.

What / who inspires you? My wife and my kids - they’re mint, fantastic…everything about them. Just spending time with them keeps me immensely happy. My wife's an absolute diamond. She gives me more motivation than any person I've ever met. I love her to bits.
What would a contract to fight in the UFC mean to you? Quite a lot. It would mean a better future for my family - it’s important. If I didn’t think I could do it, I wouldn’t.
Can you tell us about your family? My family are the most supportive people I've ever met in my life. If I didn’t have my family, I’d be a different person.
Can you tell us about your previous fights? My last one was against a top-rated fighter in the UK. I’m yet to have a fight where I get hurt, or am pushed to fight back.
How do you rate your chances in The Smashes? Very well - I think I’ll do well against any lightweight. I have a very different style, hard to work out.
What are you most excited about now that you’re in The Ultimate Fighter? To win, to prove I’m not an absolute clown…or am I?
Who is / are your favourite UFC fighter/s? Anderson Silva and Jon Jones, both for their unique styles.
Anything unusual / quirky that you would like people to know about you?
• I got my nickname by kind of just being a freak. A lot of the lads called me a freak. I didn't like the sound of that. As soon as I started MMA I started experimenting with dressing up. I did a clown a few times and it got a good response so I stuck with it. From there I got the Freakshow.
