Thoughts on opponent, Rafael Natal? He is very well-rounded, with a high level of jiu-jitsu and good striking. When and why did you start training for fighting? My whole life I have been a competitor, and I have always been interested in martial arts. After high school football was over I felt that I had much more potential, and I wanted to get involved in a sport that was fresh and new. I began to pray about it, shortly after I was introduced to MMA, and I have been pursuing it ever since. What ranks and titles have you held? None Do you have any heroes? All the men that have paved the way for MMA to be where it is today. What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? Fighting in the UFC means all the hard work I have put in since day one has paid off, and the only other thing I can ask for more than this opportunity is to be the UFC champion. Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to Southwest Virginia Community College for 1 year. What was your job before you started fighting? I have always had a job while I have been competing. I have worked for Food City in Bluefield, Virginia, and I’m currently working for Loanstar Title Loans in Dallas, TX as well as Title Boxing Club in Plano, TX.
