‘캘리포니아 키드’ 유라이어 페이버가 자신의 고향 캘리포니아에서 밴텀급 컨텐더 이반 멘지바를 상대한다. UFC 157에서 펼쳐질 본 경기는 MMA 주간 뉴스와 정보를 전하는 FUEL TV의 UFC 투나잇에서 발표됐다.
페이버와 멘지바는 7년 전 이미 한차례 맛붙은 바 있다. 당시에는 논란 속에 페이버가 실격승을 거뒀다. 이후 페이버는 페더급 최강자로 부상했으며 멘지바는 여러 단체에서 체급을 오가며 수 많은 상대들과 맛붙었다. 그리고 7년만에 UFC에서 회동해 드디어 승부에 종지부를 찍게 됐다.
UFC 157은 2월 23일(현지시각) 캘리포니아 애너하임의 혼다 센터(Honda Center)에서 개최된다.
