Cody Garbrandt capped off a night filled with upsets after he obliterated Thomas Almeida with a vicious first-round knockout to hand the young Brazilian his first loss in 22 fights.
Almeida was the popular pick with fantasy players as 67 percent picked him to win, but Garbrandt needed less than a round to get the job done after landing a devastating right hook that finished the fight in blistering fashion. For the 33 percent of players who picked Garbrandt, 69 percent selected him to win by knockout, and he certainly came through in a big way.

A ton of players had faith in Renan Barao making his featherweight debut a successful one, with 76 percent picking him to win, but Jeremy Stephens had other ideas. The heavy-handed veteran dished out a ton of punishment to Barao throughout rounds two and three to get the nod by decision.
Only 24 percent of players picked Stephens, and 68 percent of those thought he'd get the job done by knockout. In the end, Stephens seemingly went against all the odds as he got a signature win over a former UFC champion in Barao.
Rick Story also pulled off a solid upset in his fight with Tarec Saffiedine after only 38 percent of players picked him to win, but he delivered a unanimous decision victory. Fantasy players likely went against Story because he had been out of action for nearly two years, but he showed up strong and ready to get the win over Saffiedine.
Paul Felder, Lorenz Larkin and Chris Camozzi proved fantasy players right with their performances on Sunday night, with all three of them favored to win and coming away victorious at the end of the night.
Felder was selected by a whopping 75 percent of players, followed by Camozzi at 60 percent and Larkin at 54 percent. Larkin also paid off for the 58 percent of players who picked him to win by decision and the same could be said for Camozzi, with 64 percent picking him to get the nod over Miranda by decision as well.
Sara McMann capped off the prelims with a dominant unanimous decision victory over Jessica Eye, despite only 40 percent of fantasy players picking her to win. McMann stifled Eye's striking attack with a series of takedowns to earn the victory, moving her UFC record to 3-3.
Abel Trujillo proved fantasy players correct with his unanimous decision win over late replacement Jordan Rinaldi in their lightweight matchup. Trujillo was an overwhelming favorite, with 91 percent of players picking him to defeat the UFC newcomer.
Trujillo had to survive a tough second round that saw Rinaldi nearly finish the fight after landing a takedown and nearly sinking in a choke, but the UFC veteran survived. The third round saw Trujillo pour on the punishment although he couldn't quite do enough to get the knockout that 77 percent of players picked him to score.
Eric Koch returned from more than two years away dealing with injuries, finishing late replacement Shane Campbell with an impressive second-round rear naked choke. Koch was selected by 75 percent of players, so he was definitely one of the odds-on favorites to win on Sunday night and he certainly didn’t disappoint.
The biggest upset of the night happened during the earliest portion of the card, as Bryan Caraway defeated Aljamain Sterling by split decision in the featured bout on UFC FIGHT PASS. Sterling was picked by 73 percent of fantasy players to get the win, but Caraway defied the odds and came away with a huge victory.
Of the 27 percent of players who selected Caraway, 51 percent picked him by decision. That selection was a huge boon for the players who opted to go with Caraway as he defeated the previously unbeaten Sterling.
