On the heels of today's announcement of the UFC 190 bout between welterweight contenders Neil Magny and Demian Maia, the UFC made another 170-pound matchup for the event official Wednesday, with The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 winner Warlley Alves facing off against Canadian veteran Nordine Taleb on August 1 at the HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
UFC 190 is headlined by the UFC women's bantamweight title fight between Ronda Rousey and Bethe Correia, and also features the highly-anticipated rematch between Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Rogerio Nogueira.
A top Brazilian prospect who is unbeaten as a pro, with UFC wins over Marcio Alexandre and Alan Jouban, Rio's Alves will get a tough battle out of Taleb, who is also perfect in the UFC thus far, with victories over Vik Grujic, Li Jingliang and Chris Clements.
