When and why did you start training for fighting? 2013. I had just turned 18 and wasn't too sure of myself; I used the training to gain self-confidence, and, at the time, I was drinking and partying too much. So the training allowed me to focus and pulled me away from the heavy drinking and gave me a lot more self-confidence.
What ranks and titles have you held?
Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? Concluded my amateur career as the No.1 ranked Middleweight in Australasia
Specific accomplishments in pro competition? 2-time King in the Ring tournament winner. Each one required winning 3 fights in 1 night.
Who is your favorite fighter and why? Nick Diaz. His fights are iconic and his underdog attitude took him to some of the biggest heights of the sport. All the while he was still the same guy he was at the start of his career.
Do you have any heroes? No one specifically. But anyone who holds down a full-time job and/or has a family and is relentlessly pursuing their dreams and aspirations.
Is there a cause that you want to use your platform for? The Walk Without Fear charity. It is aimed at decreasing anti social violence and behaviour. Striving to save people from unnecessary life threatening injuries caused by street violence.
Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you? Sitting on my couch when I'm old and grey and knowing that I gave it 110% and not having any regrets.
What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career and why? Winning my UFC contract in 2025 on DWCS. This was the beginning of a new chapter in my career, and I intend on making it the best one yet.
Tell us about your life outside of fighting: 2 cats. Tychee (F 4) and Tyson (M 1). Big into barbecuing and smoking meats. When I have a few hours to kill I love jumping on to my xbox and having a play.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to the University of Technology in Sydney, earning a bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise management.
What was your job before you started fighting? I had many jobs, holding multiple simultaneously. I worked at Dominos Pizza making orders, restocking shelves at the local supermarket, gardening/landscaping and eventually working as a personal trainer and beginner MMA coach.
