UFC Fight Night (4/4/26) Hope lost a three round split decision to Kai Kamaka III
When and why did you start training for fighting? I’ve been fighting my whole life. I love it. I grew up fighting, that was the environment I was raised in. So naturally when the chips fell how they may and life started lifing I found myself fighting.
What does it mean for you to fight for the UFC? It means everything. All roads have led to this moment, this fight. I will show the UFC why they made the right decision signing me. I will put on a great performance en route to finishing Kai Kamaka on Saturday.
Who is your favorite fighter and why? Josh Van is my favorite fighter because he’s a brother to me and always there training together and motivating each other. He’s a really selfless person and I do enjoy his fighting style as well. Amazing poise, shot selection, distance management and timing.
Do you have any heroes outside of fighting? Muhammad Ali
What are your current ranks in martial arts? Purple Belt in BJJ
Specific accomplishments in pro competition? 11-1 Pro MMA and 12-1 as of Saturday after I win.
What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career and why? This win over Kai because it will show my skill level and put the entire division on notice after I beat a game opponent.
Is there a cause that you want to use your platform for? There are many but one I hold closest is protecting endangered species around the globe.
Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you? There is only being the best in the planet. A defeater of men. Being the best is what sparks the fire that burns in me. Impossible for me to look beyond a championship.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Went to college but no degree. I went to the college of international ass whooping. I major in international cage fighting. Seriously though I’ve traveled the world and been sponsored by international teams since 20 years old so that’s my education. I was educated by the world and how I navigated my experiences in it.
What was your job before you started fighting? Many different jobs. Coaching and night club security are the main ones though.
Favorite grappling technique: Anything that brings me victory.
Favorite Striking technique: Anything that brings me victory.
Tell us about your life outside of fighting: Fighting is my life. In between training I enjoy spending time in the forest away from all the noise of the city. Deep in nature as I should be.
