Episode 6 (9/16/25) Sosa won a three round unanimous decision over Mackson Lee

When and why did you start training to fight? I started in December 2015 because I got into a fight at a soccer game and was sent off. I haven't stopped training since.

What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career? Against Bilal Tipsaev. I was coming off a loss, and he was a tough opponent, Chimaev's cousin. There were doubts about me going into that fight, and by winning, I gained confidence and a better attitude.

What professional titles have you held? FCR Bantamweight Championship, WOW Bantamweight Championship

Any achievements in amateur combat sports? 2019 IMMAF African Champion, 2019 IMMAF World Championships Bronze Medalist

Any belts or ranks in grappling? Brown belt in BJJ and Spanish grappling champion

What has been your toughest fight to date, and why? My toughest fight was against Frederick Strauss because I fought while sick, vomiting, and diarrhea; I had no strength.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? Ilia Topuria and Joel Alvarez, for their fighting style and what they've done for Spain.

Do you have any heroes outside of fighting? Cristiano Ronaldo, for his dedication and mentality.

Is there a cause that you want to use your platform for? Coming from an island like Lanzarote, where we don't have many opportunities, I use my platform to show people that if you want something, you can achieve it. I always send positive messages and inspire people to always strive for more.

Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you?  I'm motivated by being a role model for children and helping them understand that sport is based on respect and discipline.

What was your job before you started fighting? I worked on construction sites, as a waiter, and as security at parties.

Origin of nickname: The Guanches are the indigenous Canarian people, and I am the warrior who represents them.

Personal Life/Background: I have my daughter, who is 5 years old. I have 5 siblings; my older sister died last year from cancer. I have 7 nieces and nephews.

What 3 people would you like to meet or work with? Cristiano Ronaldo, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Will Smith

What are your hobbies, activities, or other interests when you're not training for a fight? I'm a family man. I really enjoy spending time with my daughter and my girlfriend. After my father's passing, I take great care of my mother, traveling with her and trying to spend time with her. I have a dog named Coco; he's a Pomeranian. I'm the youngest of six siblings, which makes me the most determined. My family depends on me emotionally, and I'm always there for them.
