When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training when I was 12 years old because my brother took me to a kickboxing gym and it was the first sport I was ever good at.
What ranks and titles have you held? Eternal featherweight champion, and Rogue featherweight champion
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It’s all I’ve wanted to do since I was 13; it means a great deal to me.
What are your current ranks in martial arts? I’m a black belt in jiu jitsu and that is the only one that matters.
What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career? Definitely my Contender Series fight because that was the one that got me into the UFC and the most important one, but outside of that this fight with Sean Woodson is absolutely the most important.
Who is your favorite fighter and why? My favorite fighter is Jose Aldo because I based a lot of my leg kicks off him
Do you have any heroes outside of fighting? I love Shane Crawford. I think Shane Crawford are great ambassador for athletes and Australia in particular.
Is there a cause that you want to use your platform for? Absolutely, I love to help out sick kids as much as I can. I think that’s something I’d love to do and I’m doing that in raising money for the Ronald McDonald House Charity in Australia.
Beyond money or a championship, what motivates you? I’m interested in doing hard things and always have been. There is nothing harder to do than this.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I did 80% of a commerce degree at Swinburne University, so no.
What was your job before you started fighting? I worked in a pub at night so I could train during the day.

Tell us about your life outside of fighting: I work with racehorses and I would love to train racehorses when I retire from MMA.
What is 1 thing that you want UFC fans round the world to know about you? My fight name ‘PharJack’ comes from a famous racing horse named ‘Pharlap’ who was renowned for having a big heart.
