When and why did you start training for fighting? I was obsessed with the UFC video game as a teenager and realized I wanted to be in the ring doing what they were doing. I started training Jiu Jitsu shortly after and have been in love with combat sports ever since.
Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports? IGNITE Fights Middleweight Champion 2022
Any belts / ranks in grappling disciplines? 3rd Degree Jiu Jitsu brown belt
What has been your toughest fight to date and why? My amateur title fight on IGNITE forced me to deal with bouncing back from nearly getting knocked out in the first round. I ended with the win but it was a lesson in keeping my head clear and persisting.
Who is your favorite fighter and why? Carlos Condit - he's an exciting fighter who brings the fight every time and fears no one! I want to emulate him as much as I can.
What was your job before you started fighting? I currently work with my fiancée’s father on a BBQ Food Truck: Hog Call Barbeque
Origin of nickname: My Mom always called me a Moose because I was such a big kid growing up. It eventually caught on at the gym.
Personal Life / Background: From Minnesota, where I lived with my parents and brother. I moved to the St. Louis, Missouri area when I was 21 to train at St. Charles MMA. I met my fiancée, Lily, there and we have been together for 3 years and are due to get married in May of 2026. I worked in drywall for 3 years but was fortunate enough to get a job that offers a lot of needed flexibility with my future father-in-law on his BBQ Food Truck, Hog Call Barbeque.
Who are 3 people you'd love to meet or work with? Carlos Condit, The Tkachuk brothers (I’m a big hockey fan and they're from STL, where I live with my fiancée) and Jon Bernthal
What are your hobbies, activities or other interests when not training for a fight? Dungeons & Dragons. I commentate a lot of fights and matches for regional promotions. I also do great impressions (Donald Trump, Conor McGregor, Jesse Ventura, etc.)
