When and why did you start training for fighting? In 2008 at Gracie United gym – I was a huge fan of the UFC and found out there was a new gym in town that could provide the training I needed to get into it.

What professional titles have you held? I’ve held the Titan FC featherweight championship & Titan FC lightweight championship, FFI lightweight champion XFC lightweight champion, TUF 31 lightweight winner

Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports? Went undefeated 8-0 and won welterweight & lightweight titles

Any belts/ ranks in grappling disciplines? First-degree black belt in jiu jitsu

What has been your toughest fight to date and why? The toughest fight has been Thiago Moises, because it was in his hometown of Brazil. He had the fans on his side and they gave him good energy.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? My favorite fighter was Chuck Liddell. His fights, his walkouts and his character always motivated me and made me want to be a fighter.

Personal Life / Background: I love spending time coaching my kids in martial arts, I like to spend time at home with my family barbecuing or boiling seafood, fishing and taking a boat ride on the river, playing golf and watching football on Sundays.
