When and why did you start training for fighting? I begin training when I was 12 so I learn to protect myself.
What does it mean for you to fight for the UFC? I love the UFC and this has been a lifelong dream for me, let’s have some fun.
Who is your favorite fighter and why? My favorite fighter is Khabib, he made this sport very popular and because of him everyone know about our small Republic of Dagestan now, we will all continue his legacy.
Do you have any heroes outside of fighting? Muhammad Ali.
Specific accomplishments in pro competition? Russian Muay Thai Champion, MMA World Champion.
What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career and why? I think my next flight coming up next Saturday will be a very important and key fight in my career.
Is there a cause that you want to use your platform for? I want to show people that fighters from Dagestan can also be strikers, and I want to make the Sport of Muay Thai very popular using my platform.
Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you? My motivation is to build a better future for me and my family and when I have kids I want them to have a better life than mine.
What was your job before you started fighting? I worked as a Security for many years.

Tell us about your life outside of fighting: I am married and I love spending time with my family and hopefully after this fight, I will take them on a memorable vacation.
