When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training in 2010, and growing up in Hawaii, BJ Penn was a legend. After I was done playing soccer my whole life, I found fighting and fell in love. 

What ranks and titles have you held? I have a purple belt in BJJ 

Do you have any heroes? Kobe Bryant, Kendrick Lamar. 

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It’s everything; it’s a dream coming to fruition. I put everything into this. It’s good to know that I’m finally there at the highest level. I promised when my little brother passed that I would live a life worth living for two people. That’s lit my fire. 

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Degree in finance from Santa Clara University 

What was your job before you started fighting? I still do photography and videography.
