UFC ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH MMA LEGEND GEORGES ST-PIERRE

ST-PIERRE TO COMPETE IN MAIN EVENT OF UFC FIGHT PASS INVITATIONAL 6 BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU TOURNAMENT.  ST-PIERRE TO ALSO JOIN BROADCASTING TEAM FOR UFC FIGHT PASS INVITATIONAL 5

UFC FIGHT PASS, the world’s leading streaming service for combat sports, today announced a multi-faceted partnership with UFC Hall of Famer and former UFC welterweight and middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre in which the MMA legend will return to active competition and take on broadcasting duties for UFC FIGHT PASS INVITATIONAL.

UFC FIGHT PASS INVITATIONAL is a series of submission-only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) competitions created and produced by UFC FIGHT PASS that features superstars from the world of grappling.  Four iterations of the UFC FIGHT PASS INVITATIONAL have been held since the inaugural event in 2021.

St-Pierre will compete in the main event of UFC FIGHT PASS INVITATIONAL 6 scheduled for this December in Las Vegas.  The event will mark St-Pierre’s return to professional combat sports since defeating Michael Bisping at UFC® 217: BISPING vs. ST-PIERRE at Madison Square Garden on November 4, 2017, where he captured the UFC middleweight title.  St-Pierre would later vacate the title following his retirement.  St-Pierre’s opponent, as well as other competitors on the card, will be announced later this year.

In addition, St-Pierre will make his debut as a broadcaster for UFC FIGHT PASS INVITATIONAL 5 in September alongside play-by-play announcer TJ DeSantis and analysts Eddie Bravo and Michael Chiesa.  St-Pierre will also collaborate with UFC on original contentdesigned to highlight UFC’s BJJ and professional grappling initiatives.

“I’m very excited to be a part of the UFC FIGHT PASS INVITATIONAL,” St-Pierre said. “I can’t wait to test my skills and compete on the same card as the best grapplers on the planet. It’s an amazing time to be a fan of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and it’s only going to get bigger with UFC FIGHT PASS.”
