Charles Radtke defeats Gilbert Urbina by TKO (strikes) at 4:47 of Round 1

That's the kind of performance Charles Radtke was expecting from himself upon arrival in the UFC.

Official Scorecards

The former CFFC welterweight champ was popping Urbina’s head back with the jab from the outset, but it wasn’t until late in the opening stanza that he finally landed a flush left hook that put Urbina on the deck. While the former TUF finalist worked back to his feet, Radtke stayed on him, connecting again, dropping him again, and securing the first-round finish.

After edging out Blood Diamond in his promotional debut last September in Sydney, “Chuck Buffalo” turned in a much more dynamic, much more impressive showing in his sophomore effort on Saturday.

Aliaskhab Khizriev and Makhmud Muradov declared a no contest (accidental eye poke) at 0:11 of Round 1

The anticipated middleweight contest between Aliaskhab Khizriev and Makhmud Muradov ended almost immediately as a result of an accidental eye poke, resulting in a no contest result.

The middleweight fight between Aliaskhab Khizriev (L) of Russia and Makhmud Muradov (R) of Tajikistan is declared a no-contest after Muradov was unable to continue due to an accidental eye-poke during the UFC Fight Night event at UFC APEX on February 03, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The middleweight fight between Aliaskhab Khizriev (L) of Russia and Makhmud Muradov (R) of Tajikistan is declared a no-contest after Muradov was unable to continue due to an accidental eye-poke during the UFC Fight Night event at UFC APEX on February 03.

In the opening exchange, Khizriev’s finger entered the left eye of Muradov, who instantly reached for his eye, showing obvious discomfort. When he was unable to open his eye while being examined by the ringside physician, the contest was halted.

Hopefully Muradov is able to recover quickly and we can get these two back in the cage, individually or opposite one another, some time soon.

Natalia Silva defeats Viviane Araujo by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Birthday girl Natalia Silva turned in a tremendous showing on Saturday, securing the biggest win of her career against compatriot Viviane Araujo.

Official Scorecards

While the veteran Araujo was frequently the one pressing forward, the speed and taekwondo stylings of Silva were too much for her to contend with, as the younger Brazilian landed the more significant shots throughout. Moving well laterally and defending well when Araujo initiated clinch situations, Silva forced Araujo to fight on her terms, showing the same swiftness and “stop and fire” offence in the third that she landed in the first.

The unanimous decision win moved Silva to 5-0 in the UFC, extended her overall winning streak to 11, and should move her forward in the divisional rankings. Flyweight is brimming with promising young talent, and Silva is very much a huge part of that group.

Randy Brown defeats Muslim Salikhov by TKO (strikes) at 3:17 of Round 1

Randy Brown Post-Fight Interview | UFC Fight Night: Dolidze vs Imavov
/

After being forced to withdraw when this pairing was originally scheduled in December, “Rude Boy” made up for the delay by registering his first finish in more than two years on Saturday evening. Standing with Salikhov midway through the round, Brown delivered a perfect one-one-two, putting his right hand on the veteran’s jaw and spinning him to the canvas, with the single follow-up shot being academic.

The Queens, New York native has now earned consecutive victories and wins in six of his last seven outings, with his only setback coming against divisional standout Jack Della Maddalena. This was a tremendous finish for the tenured welterweight.

Co-Main Event: Renato Moicano defeats Drew Dober by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

The highly anticipated lightweight clash between Renato Moicano and Drew Dober delivered and then some, with the ranked veterans engaging in a wildly entertaining give-and-take in the co-main event.

Official Scorecards

They began trading shots two seconds into the fight and the tensions remained high throughout, with Dober having the better success in the striking exchanges and Moicano doing well when the action hit the canvas. A clash of heads on a second-round lateral drop by Dober left the Brazilian leaking for the final half of the fight, leaving both men tinted red by the time the final horn sounded.

Renato Moicano Octagon Interview | UFC Fight Night: Dolidze vs Imavov
/

Moicano landed on the happy side of the results, collecting a unanimous decision win to register his second consecutive victory and help him start to regain some of the momentum he lost after injuries left him on the sidelines last year. The passionate Brazilian has cemented himself as an all-action, must-see attraction in the 155-pound weight class, and no matter who he’s matched up with next, it should be fun.

Main Event: Nassourdine Imavov defeats Roman Dolidze by majority decision (49-44, 47-47, 48-46)

Nassourdine Imavov kicked off his 2024 campaign with a quality win over Roman Dolidze in a chaotic main event on Saturday night.

The Paris-based hopeful rocked Dolidze with a right hand, followed by a knee to the body in the back half of the opening round, driving home myriad unanswered blows through to the horn. Dolidze survived and the pace slowed in the second, as both men cleared their heads and caught their breath, but Imavov was back on the attack in the third, picking at the burly Georgian in space, and attacking his midsection routinely.

Nassourdine Imavov Post-Fight Interview | UFC Fight Night: Dolidze vs Imavov
/

In the fourth round, Imavov kicked Dolidze in the head while his hand was down, with the Russian-born athlete docked a point for the foul. The bout continued and both men attacked with more fervor, Imavov continuing to land the more significant blows throughout. Dolidze tried to chase submissions in the final round, but Imavov continually wriggled free and scored in the open-space exchanges.

Official Scorecards

Somehow, this one made it to the final horn, but while the final totals were in question, the end result was not. Imavov picked up the majority decision victory — the biggest of his UFC career to date — and adds his name to the growing list of intriguing talents working forward in the middleweight division at the moment.
