UFC Fight Night (8/1/26) Nikolić won a three round unanimous decision over Mark Vologdin

When and why did you start training for fighting? I didn’t start training because I had a problem with bullying or because I fell in love with martial arts. I started training MMA for fun and extra training for football. The discipline, the competition, and the challenge attracted me to stay on the warrior’s path.

What does it mean for you to fight for the UFC? It’s the biggest stage in mixed martial arts, and it’s an honor to compete here. But just being in the UFC wasn't my goal, I want to leave a mark. I'd like to think that this is the true beginning of my journey, not the end.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? I admire fighters who changed the sport through hard work, discipline, and consistency. I respect champions who stay humble and let their performances speak for themselves. I'm not really a fan of trash talk just for the sake of it, conflict needs to be real, not manufactured.

Do you have any heroes outside of fighting? I admire people who have achieved success through hard work, discipline, and dedication, regardless of their profession. Those qualities inspire me every day. You can admire hard work in any craft.

What are your current ranks in martial arts? I’ve trained in multiple martial arts for many years and continue to improve every day. I'm a brown belt in BJJ under my head coach Nemanja Milošević. For me, what matters most is what I do inside the cage.

Specific accomplishments in pro competition? I’ve won titles and earned victories against tough opponents throughout my career, but I believe my biggest accomplishments are still ahead of me. My goal is to make history in the UFC.

What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career and why? Every fight has helped shape my career, but the fight that opened the door to the UFC stands out the most. It proved that I belong among the best fighters in the world.

Is there a cause that you want to use your platform for? I want to inspire young people to get involved in sports and live healthy, disciplined lives. Martial arts can change lives, and I want to be a positive example

Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you? I became champion once and I will do so again. Money is just a consequence of greatness.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I dedicated my life to becoming a professional fighter, I am currently studying to get a boxing coach degree at the Serbian national college of physical education

What was your job before you started fighting? I was soccer player, before turning to MMA. In this period, MMA at Serbia was at a very low level and actually in one moment it was illegal. I constantly had a job during my career. Nowadays I’m a Beekeeper with more than 100 hives and an MMA champion at the same time.

Favorite grappling technique: Hands down, the guillotine choke.

Favorite striking technique: The Jab and the liver shot.

Tell us about your life outside of fighting: Outside of training, I enjoy spending time with my family and close friends. I also love nature and beekeeping, which helps me relax and stay grounded. Those moments help me recharge so I can give everything I have in training and competition.
